CAREER ADVANCEMENT
Grow your skills
Be part of a team that values mentorship, working together, and never stops learning. At Ivy, there’s no cap on expertise. You’ll have endless opportunities to specialize, grow, and lead every day.
- The Ivy Rehab Hospital for Special Surgery Orthopedic Residency Program is accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education as a post-professional residency program for physical therapists in orthopedics.
- Our robust Clinical Excellence curriculum is a blend of online self-study, virtual sessions, and in-person labs.
- Comprehensive leadership development pathways emphasize mentorship, clinical specialization, and business training.
- Clinic ownership and partnership are supported through Ivy’s De Novo partnership program.
I would recommend the Orthopedic Residency Program because of the opportunity to learn from very experienced and knowledgeable PTs who take all the most recent evidence, plus their clinical experience and seamlessly break it down for you to apply to your own practice.
The special thing about Ivy is that we have a very strong set of values that provide a foundation for every clinic. We truly want everyone to love what they do, and that comes through in the patient care we’re able to provide.
Ivy is all about helping people – the team as well as the community. I know when I walk through those doors, my job is to bring joy to others, and I love that. I cannot see myself working for any other company. Ivy really cares.

Yes. We welcome all and want you to have a great experience. If you need accommodation at any point during the process, please let us know.
Yes. The goal of post-offer employment testing (POET) or pre-employment screening is to hire individuals who are physically capable of performing essential job functions. This helps us ensure that the employee’s abilities match the job requirements, especially if they are physically demanding.
Our process varies by role but typically includes two weeks of virtual training, followed by about four weeks of mentored, in-clinic training. As a therapist, you’ll receive additional daily support while building caseloads, learning protocols, and building confidence.
We understand things happen. If you need to reschedule, let the person who arranged your interview know as soon as you can. We’ll do our best to find a new time that works for everyone.
